La Salle Bowls Them Over

November 28th, 2011 · No Comments

In the finals of the UAAP-NCAA Bowling Tournament last 27 November at Ten Pin City at Lidcombe, the La Sallites clinched the Tournament Cup for 2011.

With wrist moves that drew cheers, the La Sallites proved once again to be the kings of the laneways with strikes and spares to boot. De La Salle has won consecutively the titles in 2008, 2009 and 2011 making them a triple awardee.  (Note: The event was not held in 2010).  They can now be officially recognised as the top “Bowleros” in Sydney’s UAAP-NCAA Tournament.

Bowling is one of the sports that has been attracting an increasing number of followers and has become a regular weekend community convergence.  The tournament was organised by Vangie Leones and other familiar-name Philippine schools included Ateneo, Mapua, JRC, UE, UST, and Don Bosco.
