Simply Kuh!

August 23rd, 2013 · No Comments

Kuh Ledesma is on a musical weekend spree in Sydney.   Undoubtedly, one of the Philippines finest voices, Kuh radiates charm, elegance and class all the way.

With a voice that stops people on their tracks and makes heads turn, she was the mellow sound of a restless generation and she owned the 80s.  She commands attention wherever she goes, and rightly so.

In a superb musical career that spans 35 years, Kuh has done it all.  Her stint with the Music and Magic Band in her hometown of Bacolod proved to be the turning point of her career.  Her debut song “Dito Ba” skyrocketed her to stardom hitting gold and platinum on the music charts.

From London to New York, she has performed in the top venues collecting more accolades than one can remember.  She clinched the National Press Club’s Tinig Awards in 1990 and again, in 2003.  Her heart-  wrenching rendition of Filipino songs that oozed with passion and patriotism earned her the most Outstanding Filipino Award as bestowed upon by the National Centennial Commission in 1999.

She’s a singer, artist, actress of stage, TV and film, a businesswoman but above all else she considers herself highly spiritual and always remembers to ask for divine guidance in everything she does.  And as a testimony for her gratitude, she released her gospel album last year, “Fragrance of Worship.”

As a business woman, she has her own recording studio (Bravo Records), her own production company (Headline concepts), a fine food outlet, the Good Earth Restaurant and operates a sprawling resort type property, “Hacienda Isabella”  in Cavite which is named after her only daughter.  She has also opened the Music Museum in Malate for aspiring entertainers.

And most recently she awakened her dormant passion for art and has expressed her inner soul onto canvas.  She staged her first exhibit “Unexpected” last year exhibiting almost 40 of her abstract paintings.

Yes, she’s simply and unmistakably – Kuh!  As her hit song goes “Paano kita Mapasasalamatan”?  To thank her for her unforgettable contribution to the music industry, watch Kuh Ledesma at Rooty Hill on Friday, Parramatta RSL on Saturday and Campbelltown RSL on Sunday when she’s bound to thrill and treat her fans to ‘A Night of Nostalgia’.  The show is jointly produced by AFWBC and Oz-Pinoy Promotions.
